Apples are Healthy... Right?

Last weekend I got to visit my good friend and her teeny tiny little 2-month old baby.  Naturally, we were hungry and instead of making real food we made something sweet and delicious:  a baked bloomin' apple... topped with caramel, cinnamon, and ice cream.  :)

We used honey crisp apples AKA the best kind (and most expensive) of apples




After topping it with all the fixins, it was just like the inside of a warm apple pie. Ahhh mazing!  

We got the recipe here and ended up using caramel sauce rather than a caramel square.  The brown sugar mixture was a little bit too sugary, so I would probably use 2 tbsp. rather than 3 next time.  I can't wait to make this again!
